LNG conversions
Existing older LNG tonnage can provide an attractive platform for conversions, this is particularly true for floating storage units. When considering long term projects, we believe in providing new infrastructure for vulnerable aspects of the project to guarantee the availability, this includes the regasification equipment, essential utilities, control and automation and safety aspects. The LNG storage with limited functions, however, can be provided by an LNGC converted to an FSU. Hence we believe that a combination of a new build FRU and a converted FSU provides an ideal solution.
Gasfin also has designs for conversions of flat deck vessels and RoRos to small scale LNG barges, providing a quick solution for small scale coastal LNG distribution including truck loading and bunkering.
Gasfin was responsible for the upgrade and conversion works of a 127,500m³ LNGC to a FSU for Tema LNG Terminal.
